Stanislav Chernyshov
Author of the world-renowned Russian language textbooks “Poekhali!”. He also runs a YouTube channel for learning and teaching Russian.
Stanislav Chernyshov is a graduate of St. Petersburg State University, co-founder of Extra Class Language Center in St. Petersburg, where he teaches Russian to diplomats and executives, and a guest Russian Lecturer at Graz university. He has developed a teacher’s training program at St. Petersburg State University, and gives teachers’ training workshops all around Europe.

Alla Chernyshova has degrees from St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Languages and from St. Petersburg State University, she is a co-founder and Program Manager of Extra Class Language Center in St. Petersburg. She has extensive teaching experience, and her students start speaking amazingly fast and get addicted to her teaching style.
“Poekhali!” is an innovative Russian language textbook series for adult beginners originally published in 1999, with nineteen successful editions since then and approximately 200,000 copies sold worldwide. Alla and Stanislav Chernyshov have taken the extensive feedback from this period and combined it with their broad teaching experience to boost and further develop their teaching approach and totally rework the original “Poekhali!”. Now spanning 4 books and 2 workbooks, the series is used at universities and language schools from Brazil to Japan and from Canada to Australia.
“Poekhali!” combines solid academic knowledge with a modern communicative approach that is adjusted to specific difficulties students face when learning Russian. Its edutainment style presentation makes learning Russian lively and fun – and effective.
