Impersonal constructions: Past and Future

Past and Future forms when used with nouns: of impersonal constructions are very simple and don’t have variety in their forms: (1) we use the neuter form of the verb бы́ло in the past, (2) we use бу́дет in the future, regardless of the person in question, their gender or number.

Сейча́с я в университе́те, мне интере́сно учи́ться.
Когда́ я учи́лся в шко́ле, мне бы́ло ску́чно.
Ско́ро я бу́ду рабо́тать, снача́ла мне бу́дет тру́дно.
Сейча́с мне 17 лет.
Когда́ мне бы́ло 14 лет, мне бы́ло нельзя́ води́ть маши́ну.
Когда́ мне бу́дет 18 лет, мне бу́дет мо́жно води́ть маши́ну.
As ну́жно has different gender and number forms when used with nouns, the verb быть in the past and future will change accordingly:

The modal word ну́жен and the verb быть in the past and future can often change places without a change in the meaning:
Мне был ну́жен сове́т = Мне ну́жен был сове́т.
